AI tools

Keep the assistant you already use.

Portward is not another chat app. Questions start in your AI tool, and Portward supplies the governed data and its meaning when a task needs them.

01Supported tools

Where Portward can dock today.

Portward is in beta, so every tool below carries its status. We list a tool as available only after the connection has been shown to work.

In beta

Claude

On the web

Add Portward as a connector and sign in. Claude asks Portward when a task needs your data or your definitions.

In beta

Claude Code

In the terminal

Use the same sources and the same shared context while you work in a repository.

In beta

Codex

In the terminal

The context you build in one assistant is there in the next one, under the same rules.

Not offered yet

ChatGPT

On the web

We will offer ChatGPT when we can prove the connection works from end to end. Until then the app says so instead of showing a connection that might not hold.

02How it connects

Your identity, your rules, their conversation.

Each person connects as themselves

The AI tool reaches Portward over MCP, the open protocol assistants use to reach outside tools and data. Each person signs in with their own identity, so every request is tied to who asked.

Connecting is never required to start

Creating an account does not depend on an AI tool. Each tool is offered during setup, each offer can be skipped, and a skipped tool can be connected later from settings.

One honest status for each tool

For every tool, Portward shows one state: connected, lapsed, needs you to sign in again, not set up, or not available. The state comes from what the server knows, not from a guess.

The next question is checked again

A delivery carries the result and its paperwork, not standing access to the source. Each new request is checked from the start.

03Questions

What changes for your team.

Do my people have to learn a new tool?
No. They keep asking in the assistant they already use. Admins use Portward's own screens to connect sources, set rules and review knowledge.
Does Portward answer the question?
No. The AI tool owns the conversation and the reasoning. Portward decides what is known, what is permitted and what may be released, and supplies that to the tool.
What if we use more than one assistant?
That is the point of a shared layer. Sources, rules and approved definitions live in Portward, so they are the same in every tool you connect.

Stop explaining what revenue means.

Agree on the definition once. Portward sends it with the number, in every assistant your team uses.
